The Movies of Q4 2016

Once again, another quarter of the year is around the corner. And with it, comes many more movies we all want to watch. In fact, I think these next three months could be the most exciting season for movies this year, judging by the amount of movies I am looking forward to. There are in total 12 (the most there has been on my quarterly watch list this year) films that I think would end off 2016 pretty well! Here are the reasons why I am going to the cinema this holiday season between October and the end of December.

The Accountant

This year seems to have been a really busy year for Ben Affleck, in a good way. After appearing in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, the actor is going to appear in yet another three films in the next one year. More than that, he is going to direct one of it as well as the upcoming Batman movie which he is also starring in. The Accountant will be the latest film to feature his talents as an actor and I think the film has an interesting vibe to it and I can’t wait to see it. Watch the trailer above.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

Tom Cruise is back and he still doesn’t look his age. Taking on the role of Jack Reacher once again, he gets involved in what seems to be a conspiracy and must uncover it to clear the name of a friend. From the trailer, I honestly think that we will see one of the coolest cinematic heroes of the year from this movie. That confidence and that skill is just epic.

Doctor Strange

As you all would know, every installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe gets me pumped. And this is no different for Doctor Strange. What’s more, the cast looks amazing. We have Benedict Cumberbatch, one of my favorite actors playing the titular character! What did we do to deserve this? LOL. But jokes aside, I am excited to see a new hero on the big screen, and the film just feels very different from the rest of the MCU films. I can’t wait to see how it’s going to affect and shift the universe around it.

Hacksaw Ridge

Once in awhile, you get one of those films that teaches you something and inspires you. Hacksaw Ridge looks to be that kind of film. Starring Andrew Garfield, the film tells the true story of Desmond T. Doss, an American soldier who refused to use any weapon or to kill during his service in World War II. I can’t wait to see The Amazing Spider-Man actor once again, but most of all, a movie about staying true to your personal convictions would be something I’ll definitely watch.

Arrival

2016 has so many science-fiction films, I’m not even complaining. If you thought that movies like Independence Day and Star Trek are the last of movies like these that we will see in 2016, you’re wrong. I love Sci-Fi movies and would gladly watch a good one any day. So that is why I am happy to say that there are three more science-fiction films to watch just in these next three months alone! The first one is Arrival, and unlike the action packed spectacles we have seen this year, it looks really different and intriguing.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Harry Potter was my childhood as much as I know it is for most of you reading this. So you would understand the nostalgia that you get while watching the trailer for Fantastic Beasts right? Especially when the recognizable soundtrack plays? How can we miss this film? It is a spin-off and prequel to one of our favorite stories! Set in the same universe as the Harry Potter series, but in an earlier era, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is probably one of the most anticipated films of the year. Got to catch it!

Moana

Walt Disney Animation Studios are back! It seemed like only yesterday that we were talking about Zootopia, and now we have another Disney animated film on the horizon. But I am happy though. It is like a blessing to have two Disney animated films in one year alone. What’s more, it seems that Disney has been doing a consistently good job with their recent animated features. From Frozen to Big Hero 6 to Zootopia, all of these films were so different in concept and plot, yet Disney delivered. I believe that Moana will be the same. New idea, new story, new princess and The Rock. What could go wrong?

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

The exciting movies just keep coming and coming, doesn’t it? We have Marvel, Disney, Harry Potter and now we have Star Wars. What a crazy last quarter of the year it will be. Rogue One¬†tells A Star Wars Story that takes place between Episodes III and IV of the Star Wars saga. If you’re a fan of Star Wars like me, you would know what I am talking about. If not, go watch some Star Wars. You know not how exciting life as a Star Wars fan has been since The Force Awakens last year. And the best thing is that it’ll continue for years to come.

Collateral Beauty

Imagine being able to meet Love, Time & Death as actual people and having a conversation with them. How would your life change? This movie explores that idea and looks really profound; the trailer gave me the chills. If there is a movie that I will watch this Christmas season (other than Star Wars), it will be this one. Love the cast, love the ideas and love the setting. A must-watch for me.

Assassin’s Creed

To all the gamers out there, I know this is one movie you’re looking forward to. Personally, I enjoyed Warcraft earlier this year, so I’m hoping that Assassin’s Creed will be good too or even better! This will be my second time seeing Michael Fassbender this year after X-Men: Apocalypse, and I am looking forward to seeing a cool performance from him as well. To the general crowd, yes, Assassin’s Creed is a video game. And now, it’s going to become a movie too.

Sing

Disney isn’t the only one that are releasing two animated movies this year. The makers of Despicable Me who are most recently known for The Secret Life of Pets, are going to give us another treat in the world of animations. Sing looks to be a movie about chasing your dreams and has a lot of singing too! It’s like The X Factor with animated animals and a story. Haha, looks like we are going to be occupied with animated films this holiday – Moana on Thanksgiving and Sing on Christmas.

Passengers

Remember what I said just now about science-fiction films? Here’s another one, and probably the last one that will be released this year in the Sci-Fi genre. While Arrival has a mysterious and dramatic feel to it, and Rogue One feels big and epic, Passengers comes in to offer a different taste of a science-fiction thriller. Starring beloved actors Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, it seems to be one heck of a ride. And honestly, if this is the last film I will watch this year, I don’t think I’ll mind at all.

So what do you think? Isn’t the last quarter of 2016 the highlight in terms of movies? Let me know what movies you would include in your “must-watch” list!

SDCC 2016: Trailers You Can’t Miss

Last weekend, the annual San Diego Comic-Con was held once again and was the platform for many big announcements and reveals. And if you know me, you would know that one thing I look forward to the most every SDCC is the release of new trailers for upcoming movies! This year, it is no different. So here are my personal favorites from SDCC 2016 that you got to watch if you haven’t.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Kong: Skull Island

Wonder Woman

Justice League

Doctor Strange

What a weekend it was for all of us moviegoers and comic book fans. The hype is real! ūüėéūüėĄ

The Movies of Q3 2016

Time really flies! The last time we talked about movies, we were in the first half of 2016. But today as we speak, we are already in the second half of the year! In fact, we find ourselves in its third quarter. So in continuation with my quarterly habit of looking at upcoming movies, I bring you now the list of films I am looking forward to seeing in Q3 of 2016. Here are a few exciting ones that I want to catch between now and the end of September.

1. The BFG

Chances are if you have ever read children’s books before when you were younger, you would have heard or seen the name of Roald Dahl. I mean when I was in primary school, all the bookworms in class would be reading at least one of his books. Then when I went to the school library, I would see “Roald Dahl” all over the shelves. If Charlie and the Chocolate Factory rings a bell to you, then you would definitely know this successful author. The BFG which stands for “Big Friendly Giant”, is also a book written by Dahl. And now, it is has been adapted and brought to life on the big screen.

2. Star Trek Beyond

The last time we saw Chris Pine, he was leading a rescue mission with the U.S Coast Guard in The Finest Hours. Now, watch as he captains a starship in the third film of the science-fiction franchise – Star Trek. I got to be honest; I am totally new to Star Trek and have yet to see any of the films or television series nor read any of the books. But I am so stoked to catch up on what I’ve missed so far just to be able to watch Star Trek Beyond better. Science-fiction films like these are the bomb, guys.

3. The Secret Life of Pets

The creators of Despicable Me and its popular minions are back with a brand new animated film – The Secret Life of Pets. As I watched the trailers for the movie, I can’t help but find the visuals so stunning, the concept so fresh and the characters so humorous. Compared to the other animation studios or companies like Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks, Illumination is relatively new and young so I can’t wait to see what else they have to bring to the world of animated films.

4. Skiptrace

Jackie Chan is back! What more is there to say? No one blends action and comedy as well as our childhood hero even at his current age of 62. Personally, I grew up watching a lot of Jackie Chan and I can still remember up to this day that apart from all his films, one of my favorite cartoons as a boy was Jackie Chan Adventures! So obviously from that, you would know why I am so excited to see Jackie again; he just offers this unique flavor to the more than 100 films that he has starred in. And besides, it’s been more than 2 years since we last saw him in a live-action movie! Can’t wait.

5. Jason Bourne

You know, James Bond isn’t the only “J.B” that is cool and dangerous okay? And no, I am not talking about Johor Bahru or Justin Bieber even though they are cool in their own ways. I am talking about Jason Bourne. After 9 long years, Matt Damon finally returns as the titular character in the well-received spy action thriller series. So as you can see, anticipation is at an all-time high for this movie.

6. Suicide Squad

2016 is a strange year when superheroes clash and villains unite. We can see the former in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War, while the latter will be exhibited in the upcoming Suicide Squad. As the third installment in the DC Extended Universe, the film uses a concept that is rarely seen – having the villains as the main characters of a movie. Personally, I just want to see Batman against the Joker again, and also how this film fits into the whole DCEU. So just imagine the Avengers.. but with weird and psychotic people.

7. Pete’s Dragon

So how do you train your dragon? In the real world? The answer is you can’t – well, at least not in peace. A remake of the 1977 film of the same name, Pete’s Dragon seems to have a fresh and interesting tale to tell. Man, Disney is really on a roll this year with their name on film after film and with many more coming up! Just in this post alone, there are three of them! Continue reading to find out about the third one (and that isn’t even the last one in 2016!).

8. Queen of Katwe

Being on a constant “quest” to widen the range of movies that I watch, I find myself in the cinemas this year catching romance films, thrillers and comedies (which I didn’t used to watch as much). In the next three months however, I am going to challenge myself to watch a biographical drama film in the form of Queen of Katwe. And anyways, it is going to be a breath of fresh air with the movies I’m watching and also looks inspiring. So why not?

9. The Magnificent Seven

This last movie in this list could possibly be the last movie I am going to watch before I go into the army. For all you non-Singaporeans reading this, just Google “National Service in Singapore”. And honestly if it is, if Magnificent Seven¬†really happens to be that movie, I don’t think I’ll mind. Because so far, it looks good! With the cast, the setting and the plot that we currently know of, we have a potentially awesome Western film! And for me, it has been a long time since I’ve watched a Western film like that, so I’m looking forward to it. Plus, it looks really cool and has Chris Pratt in it. Can’t wait to see one of my favorite actors in recent years back in action again.

And so that is all for my personal list of movies that I would love to see in this third quarter of 2016! In fact, some of them has just been released in Singapore so I am probably going to go catch one or two of them in the coming week. But how about you? Do you have any movies that you would love to watch too but are not in this list? Let me know in the comments below! See you all again for our next list in October. ūüėČ

Let’s Talk: The Division

Hi readers! Today I’m going to be talking about the game that everyone has been hyped up about – Tom Clancy’s The Division. If you have been part of the gaming community in any capacity at all over the past year, you would definitely have heard of this one. Being one of the most anticipated games of 2016, The Division is going to kick off its Open Beta exactly a week from now! But before I begin talking about the game itself, I must first say that I am just a casual gamer. And in terms of The Division, I have intentionally avoided all kinds of gameplay videos as much as possible so that when I get into it for myself on the 19th, it will be a totally new experience for me.

So with that said, what I’m going to be talking about today is based on my own knowledge and opinions, which are probably very limited as compared to those that have already experienced the game through the previous Closed Beta or videos online. Therefore, please do not take my words as a pro’s! Because I don’t play much & I don’t know much. But anyways, let’s get into the Zone.

What is The Division?

Simply put, it’s a third-person tactical role-playing game. Yes, it heavily features guns and action, but it is first an RPG, then a shooter. In other words, the game’s main focus is on character progression, skill trees, gear upgrades and maybe even map exploration. It is no doubt however, that the shooting in this game is incredibly well done. But what makes it different from other shooters like Call of Duty is that this game has a dynamic open world. And yes if you want to, you can play online. So you can meet with other players and interact with them in many ways beyond just you know – shooting them. For example, you can work with them to complete missions and achieve different goals together.

How do we the players come into the picture?

This is where the story of the game comes in. In the fictional world of The Division, we find ourselves in fallen New York City, where a nationwide pandemic on Black Friday has thrown the city into utter chaos and destruction. Because of the deadly virus that has spread through banknotes from person to person, society and its services were swiftly crippled. During this state of emergency, an automonous government organization known as the Strategic Homeland Division is activated to fight the threats that the virus and its creators have brought about. We are agents of The Division, roaming the city to take back and restore whatever that is left of it.

Where exactly is this “Dark Zone”?

Behind these walls of a once bustling city, lies a dark side of humanity. Because of the collapse of law and order across the city, evil and cruelty now rules the streets in the form of criminals, rioters and men alike. These murderers will stop at nothing for their own selfish gains, especially so in a place called the Dark Zone. These are probably the most virus-contaminated areas of the city, where even the military has retreated from. And because the military has retreated from these areas, the most valuable kind of loot like weapons, clothes and supplies are found here. Knowing this fact, the scum of the earth gather in this place in large groups, making it very dangerous to traverse. The Dark Zone is also the place where certain agents might fall to the “Dark Side”, as I’d like to call it. These Rogue Agents might turn on their own teammates just to keep all their loot to themselves. The Dark Zone not only brings out the selfish/selfless sides of people, but also the most exciting aspect of the game.

Who would enjoy this game?

People like me; okay just kidding. Haha but seriously, if you love to interact (AND BE NICE) with other players while gaming, The Division is absolutely for you. Because so far, it seems that most of the fun in this game is derived from working together with and against other people! This is not the kind of game you play when you don’t have friends, it’s the kind of game you play with friends! Enabling the Proximity Voice Chat feature within the game also takes the experience to a whole new level. Basically, this allows everyone to communicate with one another like in real life. The closer you are to one another, the clearer & louder you can hear each other speak. What else? If you are a person that enjoys immersing yourself into an open world and exploring every inch of it, you will love it. If you’re a person that loves cool guns and gadgets, and secretly fantasizes about being an elite sleeper agent, you will love it too. Relate to any of those? Then you know what to do. ūüėÜ

Why am I so excited for this?

You guys know me. Be it in books, films or video games, I am constantly into fresh & new concepts. The Division happens to be one such case in terms of video games this year. I mean I can’t exactly remember ever playing a game like that before! The tone. The setting. The plot. The gameplay. It’s so different and so cool – every part of it. From the fact that the entire game is based off of a real bio-terrorist attack exercise [Operation Dark Winter] to the fact that the environments are a 1:1 re-creation of Midtown Manhattan, everything I’ve seen and heard so far is just so impressive. And not to mention, the incredible Snowdrop engine enables the game to have a dynamic global day/night and weather system, resulting in a game both so beautiful and atmospheric at the same time.

Man, I can’t wait to dramatically walk down the broken streets of snowy New York with the sun setting behind me. See you in the Dark Zone, Agents.

The Movies of Q1 2016

Last Friday, we had a look back at some of my favorite movies from 2015. Today, let’s get ourselves excited for some of the movies that have been, and will be released between now and the end of March.

1) The 5th Wave

I’m going to kick off my new movie year with a new take on alien invasions. With an interesting concept, a great setting and a fresh plot, The 5th Wave adapts the book of the same name onto the big screen. It mainly tells of the story of a girl’s search for her brother, all in the aftermath of an alien invasion. The “waves” of attacks by the “Others” as they call them, are also the center of the story (hence the title). Having just been released on the 14th in Singapore, this is one film I got to catch for myself.

2) Kung Fu Panda 3

You all know I love animations, so it’s no surprise that this is on my list! In this third installment for one of the greatest fan favorites¬†from Dreamworks Animation, the one and only Kung Fu Panda returns to find that there are actually,¬†well¬†–¬†MORE Kung Fu Pandas. After watching¬†the trailer above, I just can’t help but be awed by the art and visual aesthetics done by the talented¬†people behind it.¬†And once again, the¬†comedy we always associate with the series is present. I’m so going¬†to see all of it this Chinese New Year!

3) The Revenant

Some of you may remember this film appearing in my Fall list last year. And yes, after all the delays, this film is finally going to be released in Singapore on the 4th of February. But still, my excitement for the movie has not been dampened and I’m looking forward to experiencing the cinematography of the film and the performances by the all the actors. Oscar-worthy? Highly possible.

4) The Finest Hours

Yes, this is a movie by Disney. And yes, just like The Revenant, The Finest Hours is based on a true story, which tells of the U.S. Coast Guards “greatest rescue mission” in 1952. When two oil tankers were split in half by extreme weather conditions, watch as the Coast Guards maneuver the storm against all odds and attempt to save the crew trapped on board. Coincidentally, the film will be released on February 18 in Singapore, exactly 64 years after the real events of the rescue mission on February 18, 1952.

5) Risen

Whether this film will turn out to be biblically accurate or not is another thing. But for now, this movie seems to have a cool and interesting perspective¬†on Jesus’ resurrection. Looking through the eyes of an unbeliever, witness the greatest miracle in the history of mankind again. If you live in the¬†U.S,¬†you can catch it in cinemas starting¬†February 19th.

6) London Has Fallen

Remember Olympus Has Fallen? This is the sequel to it.¬†And¬†the general idea seems to¬†be similar¬†– terrorist attacks, U.S. President gets¬†targeted, Gerard Butler is an¬†agent, this agent protects the president, they¬†kick some butt together. But that¬†sounds pretty cool,¬†doesn’t it? I shall make this my¬†first action/thriller film of 2016. Haha, I got to catch¬†the previous movie¬†first though.¬†ūüėÜ

7) Zootopia

Animations. WALT DISNEY ANIMATIONS. From the studios that brought us Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen and Big Hero 6¬†comes a brand new story about animals living in a society much like humans. Sounds interesting? Well, I would also throw in words like “cute”, “amusing” and “exciting”; just watch the trailer. But¬†seriously, this studio has not disappointed us at all over the past 3 years, and with such a different concept this time, I just can’t wait to see what it has to offer.

8) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The sequel to Man of Steel¬†I know everyone has been waiting for since a long time ago.¬†For¬†the first time on the big screen, the “holy trinity” of the DC¬†Universe – Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman will appear alongside one another. So I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of interactions they¬†are going to have, though it all seems to be pretty intense so far. And of course, we’re definitely going to see different takes on all the characters¬†and¬†the establishment of the DC Extended Universe.

That’s right. If you don’t yet know, we’re going to have a cinematic universe for all the Justice League characters with films already announced for the coming years, much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s going to be loads of comparisons between not just this film and Captain America: Civil War (which both involve conflicts between heroes), but also the DCEU and the MCU. But I don’t care which is better though. I’d enjoy all of them if they’re good. I just… personally prefer the MCU more. ūüėõ

So there you have it. These are just some of the films I would love to catch in this first quarter of 2016. What about you? Are there films that you want to catch that¬†are not mentioned here? Feel free to comment below and share them with me! I might just end up getting interested and watching them too. Once again, thank you for reading and I’ll see you next week.

Most Anticipated Video Games in Q4 2015

Just for Fun: I’ve been a casual gamer since I was a kid and although I do not game as much now, they continue to be a source of entertainment for me from time to time!

So with the launch of Destiny: The Taken King just a week ago, I thought it would be really cool & fun to talk about it, as well as some titles that have been released over the past month. But mainly, I’ll be mentioning some upcoming titles that will be released in the last quarter of 2015 that just looks amazing.

Now before I begin, I must mention that I currently game mainly on the PS4 and only occasionally on the PC. So please do not be upset if you don’t see any of your Xbox One exclusives on here! It’s not because I find them bad, but it’s Just Cause (hehe) I literally have no access to them! Also, I would probably only play a selected few of the games mentioned below, leaving most of them foreign to me (I have other priorities in life, LOL). So the list is based on what I currently know, and have good opinions about.

Please do not think I’m trying to replace sites like IGN or Kotaku! This is just me having fun with my own thoughts. So with that, here goes nothing!

(September releases)

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

A Hideo Kojima game.

I’ve only been exposed to the Metal Gear series recently through Ground Zeroes and I can’t say I’ve played enough to know it all. But playing Ground Zeroes for that few hours has gotten me hyped up enough to do some reading about the series. And together with watching videos & trailers like the one above, I have to agree this is one massive game and series that continues to deserve and live up to the expectations of its fans. Epic story, open world, brilliant action and tactical freedom, what else can I say? Imagine being the Big Boss once again, crumbling a base slowly while being disguised as a cardboard box the entire time. Wouldn’t you like that?

2. Mad Max

As if the locations in The Phantom Pain wasn’t enough to satisfy your desert battlefield fantasies, Mad Max gives you an entire desert wasteland to play with. Fully open to explore, the world of Mad Max is home to extreme weather conditions, deadly car chases and brutal action & adventure. This is the game that was released on the same day as Metal Gear Solid V, and though I have not watched any of the movies or played this game, I’m sure there are people out there going mad (see what I did there?) thinking as to which game to spend their money on. I mean you can build your “dream car” and “show it off” to people in the desert! If this is the kind of world you like to “live in”, why not?

3. Destiny: The Taken King

One of my sources of entertainment right now.

Personally, I’ve only played the demo for Destiny half a year ago. Well that is, until last week! I’ve been waiting for the best opportunity to get the full experience of Destiny and now, with the release of The Legendary Edition, that opportunity has come. So I’ve played a bit of it here and there over the past week with a buddy of mine and I totally enjoyed it. I think what really is praiseworthy about the game is its multiplayer experience. Compared to many multiplayer games I’ve seen & played, Destiny’s multiplayer is really stable, easy to get into and more fun than playing alone (which obviously is super important). Oh and have I mentioned that I have a thing or two for science-fiction? So what continues to appeal to me is its world & setting. In Destiny, I can literally be a Guardian of the Galaxy!

(Upcoming releases)

4. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

Xbox has its Master Chief. Playstation has its Nathan Drake.

I’m sure many would agree that Drake is one of the most beloved characters created by the highly favored developers from Naughty Dog. He is almost like a Playstation icon, and with his return in full high-definition glory on October 9th, I’m sure many are excited to experience and find out about his adventures for the very first time. Yup, I belong to the group of people that has never touched a single Uncharted game before. But I’m sure this collection would definitely blow us away and prepare us for the next installment in the series – A Thief’s End.

5. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

Why is this game on my list? Because I see it as the make-it or break-it installment for the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Let’s be honest here. A lot of people would feel that the franchise’s previous installment did not meet up to the expectations that it gave people, even though I’m sure that there are good points about it. So because of that, all eyes are watching this one. Some are convinced that it will be a flop too, but I choose to have a little hope and am waiting to see how it actually turns out! Cause honestly, it has a decent setting! Victorian London is seriously beautiful so far, and has managed to catch people’s attention. But will the game play as good as it looks? We will only know for sure when it comes out on October 23rd (for consoles).

6. Fallout 4

Bethesda. The kings of open world role-playing games are back with one of their highly acclaimed franchises – Fallout.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world after the events of a nuclear war, the creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim brings you on a journey through dystopian, mysterious, and yet beautiful re-imaginations of New England regions such as Boston. When it comes out on November 10th, fans of open world RPGs as well as post-apocalyptic genres would definitely be drawn to the sheer amount of adventure and environmental storytelling present in the game. And by the way, have you seen how your character’s face can be created by sculpting? Man, I almost fell out of my chair when I first saw it. *ding!*

7. Star Wars: Battlefront

Everybody knows that movie that’s going to be released during Christmas season this year. Everybody’s hyped up for it. But there’s also a game that everyone is hyped up for, which will give them more hype for that hyped up movie. HAHA cut the chase, this year’s Q4 has “Star Wars” labelled all over it. One of the perfect examples of video games based off movies, Star Wars: Battlefront has fans of the franchise going bonkers, and even more so since Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is also just around the corner. Though it can’t be compared to how long it has been since the last movie came out, it has also been some time since the last release of a Star Wars game. With beloved characters making appearances, large-scale battles reminiscent of those in the movies, and epic dogfights in the sky, many fans may end up in a galaxy far, far away when November 17 arrives.

8. Just Cause 3

Did you enjoy The Expendables? Do you love Michael Bay films? Would you like to set the world on fire and chaos in ridiculously creative ways? Then this is the game for you!

Having played Just Cause 2 before in the past, I have to say this is one series that presents action in the craziest way possible. And because of that, this is the kind of game that makes a great stress-reliever. Just watch the video! You can do whatever you want, you see explosions more than your enemies, and you feel invincible. Maybe you would get this game when it comes out on December 1st. Just Cause…

9. Hitman

On December 8th, Agent 47 will return in this really interesting prequel/reboot (no one is exactly sure yet) to the Hitman video game series. It looks totally amazing and the developers of the game are awesome. They removed the idea of additional paid content & DLCs, as well as micro-transactions from the game, explaining their belief of it as a wrong approach. With that, players would just need to pay once and for all for the game when they purchase it, and continue to receive free updates including new missions and locations regularly. The passion & dedication of the developers can be clearly seen not just in their promise to deliver, but also in the gameplay footages released so far. Players can explore huge levels that are like sandboxes and neutralize their targets in so many possible ways, be it quietly or dramatically. Gosh, now I need to check out the movie that was shot in my country.

10. Firewatch (BONUS)

The last game on my list is an indie title that many people including myself, wants to check out right now. Unfortunately, there isn’t an exact release date as of yet, though it’s worth noting the developers are hoping to release it by this year. Which is why it made it to this list!

But seriously, recent indie games have become more and more impressive and Firewatch is definitely one of those highly anticipated ones. I’m totally in love with the art style of the game, its voice acting and the interesting mystery that seems to fuel its story. Definitely watching this one closely for any news.

So that concludes my list of Most Anticipated Video Games in Q4 2015. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it and I’ll see you in the next post! Thank you!
